Day 2. Done and Dusted
We rolled into Warwick right on time. 155km done. The 3 jockey sized Cycd boys had another Jase "take it easy lads" section. Brock and I knew we were in for pain. Jase called just tuck in. Then he sprinted away. Andy hung on then we caught up with Brock. The three jockeys lined up and started picking off riders. Then we hooked up with a fast moving pack and tucked in for a while. That is until Jase spotted a small hill and gunned it. Andy had a rare rush of blood to the head and decided he was a sprinter and pushed from the back to take Jason's rear wheel. Brock had picked the effort and came with. It was about them that Andy decided it wasn't for him. Brock kindly offered his wheel and motivated him to hang on. Then it was about a 5 km interchange of fast pace. Jase positioned himself with the front runners. Andy ran out of steam and sat up. Brock charged on for a top 10 finish. Jase played the waiting game and took the Allora sprint out of the clutches of Chappy although JJ and Rowan may have already fought out the ultimate honours.
