Rider profile - Kent Beasley

The third member of our team is Kent Beasley








Age: 46
Family:  Wife Cathy, Children Tom, Sophie and Will
Occupation:   Corporate Affairs Manager
Company/Employer:  Wesfarmers Resources
How long have you been cycling:  About 2 years used to do triathlons but that seems a long long time ago
Bike type:   GIANT TCR Advanced (from Cyc'd for Bikes of course)
Weekly kms:  About 200 to 250 but know I need to ramp that up in the coming weeks   
·         Favourite ride:  Mt Lofty / Montacute South Australia best down hill run ever!!
·         How did you get involved with the Smiddy Challenge: I did the Midi Smiddy in 2010 and was blown away by the whole experience it’s difficult to put into words what a fantastic experience it is. Wonderful people and a wonderful cause 
What are you most looking forward to: The excitement and anticipation on the day we depart . There's going to be a lot of nervous riders. Training done fund raising done let’s get on with it!!
·         What are you least looking forward to: When its over I'm honestly think I'm going to really miss looking forward to the whole thing but then again there's always next year
Have you, a family member or friend been impacted by cancer: Fortunately not but I have had some very good friends who have and can't believe the impact it has on families
Anything else you want to say: I know the guys will give me grief but being involved with Smiling for Smiddy is an amazing experience doing it with some really good mates just makes it even better!!
