The Cyc'd boys are very excited about riding tomorrow with a very special individual and a good friend Michael Groom.
Michael may be known to you already but if not here is a little about Michael....
In 1995 Michael became the fourth person in the world to climb the four highest mountains without the assistance of bottled oxygen. In 1999 he successfully climbed Makalu, the smallest and for Michael, the last of the 'big five' - the five highest mountains in the world. Makalu, Lhotse, Kangchenjunga, K2 and Everest - Michael climbed them all without the assistance of bottled oxygen, and all but Kangchenjunga he climbed without the front third of both feet.
Michael is a great bloke. He is humble about his extraordinary achievements and we enjoy riding and hanging out with him so tomorrow's ride will be that little more special.
Michael is now a full time professional speaker and while he resides in Brisbane he regularly travels the country and overseas to speak to various groups and has built a reputation for one of Australia's best and most sort after keynote speakers.
